Question -the real one-
“What’s really scary is that you don’t even leave a possiblity that this stuff can even be true. You just know deep down in your heart that it is not true.
There is nothing here that is deemed as gossip. If you read this forum from DAY ONE…it was already addressed what the issues were. You have no idea what is going on at Brooklyn Tabernacle especially since you are in CHICAGO! So how on earth can you say it’s not true?!
The issues simply were Cymbala not being accountable financially and not being accountable for the way that he has treated his staff. The victims of this abuse have confronted Pastor Cymbala FACE TO FACE and they were shut down, excommunicated and labeled as gossippers (kinda like what you are doing right now). And just seeing that there are more and more people here voicing their cries, shows that it’s pretty rampant.
As Christians, we are INSTRUCTED by the BIBLE to voice any injustices within the Body of Christ. That is biblical, did you know that?! The reason why people are doing it here is because telling Cymbala himself to his face has done nothing at all. So you take other precautions. Paul in the bible stayed rebuking people for their nonsense, would you call him a gossipper and someone who has no love?! I thinks not.
I actually feel sorry for you, only because people like you who stand up so admantly for a MAN or men…are usually the ones who will get hurt the hardest. I think it is HIGHLY insensitive to downplay the harships that people went through just because the perpretrator just happens to be your favorite person in the whole wide world.”
