Why does Jim Cymbala interfere with peoples worshipping, even as he says from the pulpit to worship and praise? Is this a Michal spirit? And why are the congregation who knows- have personally experienced his various abuses( call it what it is)-tolerant of these things? Is this a “Jim Jones” mentality? Does BTab have a cult personality?
Silence is not golden.
Excusing his behavior and letting it continue to hurt others is wrong. No one is above accountability. Jesus was accountable to His Father. He only did what was pleasing to the Father. Are the things Jim Cymbala doing pleasing to God? And didnt Jesus say He didnt come to condemn,or “to destroy men’s lives but to save them”? Pastor Jim Cymbala is hurting people. What manner of spirit are you all?And this is to the Associate Pastors and Deacons also. You are enabling him to hurt people in ways that can destroy their faith.Remember the words of Jesus.”Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte and when he is won,you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves”
The world may not know the truth behind the image, but God sees and knows every tear of the brokenhearted. It is time for the leadership to repent and for those who know truth to stop making excuses.Stop the silence.Stop enabling.Expose the darkness.Evil survives in darkness.Jesus is Light.
And please dont come with the ” go talk to him” stuff.Ya all know that isnt working.I dont know what the answer is.Maybe only a divine act of God will bring change. But at least dont be an accomplice to the wrongs.

My heart breaks for all that you wrote, @Speakingtruth.
If the pastors and deacons truly love God’s church more than they love or fear Jim Cymbala, then they would protect the flock, not the abusive leader. Unfortunately for many, that’s not the case. These leaders have a calling by God, but they continually choose to abdicate their responsibility and turn a blind eye to the bleeping, bloodied sheep.
But God sees.
Pastors and Deacons. There are serious problems at BT. There are serious problems with your leaders. Your silence and your indifference is diametrical opposed to your calling.
Take care and be on guard for yourselves and for the whole flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd (tend, feed, guide) the church of God which He bought with His own blood.

God sees. Even what is done behind closed doors.
Idolatry in the Temple
In the sixth year, in the sixth month on the fifth day, while I was sitting in my house and the elders of Judah were sitting before me, the hand of the Sovereign Lord came on me there. 2 I looked, and I saw a figure like that of a man. From what appeared to be his waist down he was like fire, and from there up his appearance was as bright as glowing metal. 3 He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood. 4 And there before me was the glory of the God of Israel, as in the vision I had seen in the plain.
5 Then he said to me, “Son of man, look toward the north.” So I looked, and in the entrance north of the gate of the altar I saw this idol of jealousy.
6 And he said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing—the utterly detestable things the Israelites are doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see things that are even more detestable.”
7 Then he brought me to the entrance to the court. I looked, and I saw a hole in the wall. 8 He said to me, “Son of man, now dig into the wall.” So I dug into the wall and saw a doorway there.
9 And he said to me, “Go in and see the wicked and detestable things they are doing here.” 10 So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and unclean animals and all the idols of Israel. 11 In front of them stood seventy elders of Israel, and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan was standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising.
12 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? They say, ‘The Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.’” 13 Again, he said, “You will see them doing things that are even more detestable.”
14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, and I saw women sitting there, mourning the god Tammuz. 15 He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? You will see things that are even more detestable than this.”
16 He then brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun in the east.
17 He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually arouse my anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose! 18 Therefore I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.”
God sees.

Your quotes are spoton. I wrote earlier but it doesnt seem to have post.
It is shameful that the associate pastors and deacons are so quiet. You have to wonder if it is because they are compromised in some way,or just love the titles so much. If it is for lack of discernment, that doesnt say much for their qualifications for their positions. If it is for love of the position, that doesnt say much for their characters. The leadership is more important than the flock? Did Jesus say and show this?
And the congregation that stays silent also- again, silence is not golden. Dont be deceived. You arent doing the body any good.
Thank you for your kind response. We that suffered know who we are and the truth. Those who excuse and coverup know who they are and the truth also.
Do you truly want BTab to be the church of Jesus Christ,or the church according to Jim?

People- (those who know of things that have happened but still meekly come to church)- should ask themselves,if things that happened long ago are still being repeated today,is keeping silent and meekly coming to church, really helpful? Maybe so,but to whom? The many who sign up so wholeheartedly for membership believing the ” we are here to serve you” speech,or only to Jim Cymbala, the Cymbala family and his very obedient associate pastors and deacons?” Keeping your eyes on Jesus” is not stopping the hurting.
Micah 6, The Lord is a God of justice. The “good” does not outshine the bad.
And even worse,if silence has allowed these behaviors to go unchecked over the years-only what is spoken of in this forum is known- what other devastating things may be going unchecked even as we speak?
Think about these things.
