This Paul Brewer lawsuit reminds me of something. Does anyone else remember when a bunch of people left BT in the late 1980s or early 90s due to allegations of sexual abuse perpetrated by Pastor Cymbala? Whatever happened with all that? How did the leadership handle it? Did anyone ever speak up? Were those claims reported to authorities? Was there an investigation?
That would not surprise me @LucioPaz. Look at Paul’s case…this has been happening since the 70s. Maybe that exodus is what Paul W was referring to here:

The whole family has major issues along these same lines. I won’t go into it but suffice it to say they do their best to look squeaky clean, but there are major issues throughout that entire family. It’s way worse than Netflix in the print room.
People are going to remember what happened to them. It’s only a matter of time. You can’t buy rugs big enough to sweep this under.

I am thinking through things I saw over the years and i missed the signs. Daniel impaglia gave me a book years ago by clair Hutchins and some other minister. There were things in that book that never sat right with me. I wonder if i still have a copy of it in my basement somewhere

That is clearly a phallic logo… Clair Hutchins is one strange fellow. I’m sure he is beloved by Jim Cymbala as they were very close.

it is from 1985 named Winning the world. it was published by world mission crusade. The authors are rev. clair dean hutchins and brother john gibson. the images were taken from page 101 of the book and you can use the images wherever you need.
I want to thank you all for your support. I appreciate your emails and kind messages. That I have not revealed the perpetrators is an over simplification of the sexual abuse that occurred at BT.
The church sexually trafficked children to church members and other perverts.
Jim Cymbala was 100% behind this with my father and other church members. Carol Cymbala, Rina Gatdula, and other Sunday school teachers were not only aware, but were a part of the process in trafficking children.
The abuse occurred in the basement of 17 Smith Street, the apartments located in church building, Deacons’ homes from the sister church in New Jersey, and various locations throughout New York City.
I have also spoke to other victims as well, including a female who had her vagina repaired as a toddler.

Now that you know the sexual abuse I survived and countless others at the hands of Jim Cymbala take the time to ask yourself – why did Jim Cymbala write about a man coming into the church with a gun about sexual abuse ??
I know there were many accusations before mine and after. And the people who filters those messages have always been and always will be Jim secretaries

You are right…it makes sense that the address was on Atlantic Avenue during that time.
It’s terrifying that the just built a new children’s center 2 levels down in the church basement. Dear Jesus…protect those children.
I am speechless regarding the testimony you just told of the little girl. It’s really hard to wrap my mind around. But I think of all the other girls that have been called “spiritual daughters” and how they have left the church. I can’t imagine the stories…
I believe you. Many believe you. And many will believe the others’ stories as well…as shocking as they may be.
Paul, Jesus was misrepresented to you. By words you may have heard and certainly through the trauma you had to endure. If you haven’t already, I pray one day you may come to trust in the True and Living Savior who loves you.
