Tony Evans has chosen to step down from his ministry for undisclosed sin from years ago. Though his letter was intentionally vague and carefully written, he acknowledged that he must do what is only right before the Lord. He fell short of the high calling of a Christian leader.
So given Jim Cymbala’s close relationship with Tony Evans, and the years of sexual promiscuity and abuse that Jim Cymbala has foisted on members of the Brooklyn Tabernacle congregation, I ask: Why won’t Jim Cymbala follow suit and step down?
No. Jim Cymbala will not step down. He will hide and pretend and sweep until the carpet is a mountain and he can no longer keep secret his decades long deviance. Too many skeletons. Too many victims. And they all have a story to tell.
I can say I respect Tony Evans, but the truth is he is only spinning the one narrative he has left. For Jim Cymbala, not only will he not step down, his secret sinful lifestyle continues. He is a person of the mask.
A legacy lives even past death. And so too the death of a legacy.

Tony Evans stepping down wasn’t repentance, it was strategy!
Jim Cymbala’s strategy is to hide hide hide. He can’t step down because of sin…he’s in the middle of a lawsuit with a man saying Jim molested him as a boy. He’s an old creepy man portraying himself as a lowly pastor. What is worse that that?
I know of others that are mentioned on this forum and not mentioned that Jim has abused. It’s bad. The pastoral staff knows. Lincoln Fritz, Burgos, Pettrey. all of them. Archibald knows too but they are all hirelings.Jim,

Your family getting bankrolled on the tithes of your members will exposed as well.
How much money does your grandaughter get paid? She has no credentials or degrees, but gets paid a six figure salary to hardly work.
